Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
2020March 16 - Update
Nude Swim Cancelled!
We are sad to report that our swim for April is cancelled. While we were considering this action even as we were running our March 2020 nude swim night, the decision has been made for us. The City of Surrey has announced that all recreation centres in the city would be closed starting Mondy, March 16 until further notice. This is, of course, due to the concern over the Covid19 pandemic. As we do not know when this closure will be lifted, we will be making decisions about events on a month by month basis. Please watch our website and our newsletter for announcements regarding future swims.
At the present time, given the information available to us, we are running our swims as usual. However, as this is a changing situation with new announcements being released nearly every day, we will be evaluating our position with regard to future swim events. Should there be an advisory recommending tighter restrictions from the BC Health Ministry, we will more than likely cancel our April swim night. Events beyond that will remain subject to cancelation as we evaluate information available to us.
As with all organaizations, we take our public health and safety responsibilities very seriously and will do all that we can to safeguard the health of our members.
Please monitor our newsletter, any advisories we may send out, our website and/or our Facebook page to check the status of our events, as we may have to cancel on very short notice.
Welcome to the Skinnydipper Recreation Club
We have been offering nude and clothing-optional events and activities in British Columbia since 2002. Due to retirement, the Skinnydipper Recreation Club is now in its final year of operation. Our final event will be our scheduled nude swim at Newton Wave Pool on 12 December 2020.
We have enjoy operating this wonderful club for the past 18 years and would like to thank all of our members who have supported us and enjoyed our events.
